Do you have Toe Juice?

The title of this post made me ROFLMAO when I first saw it.  It was the subject of an email from the creators of this fabulous product,, Dermavine, the genius behind Toe Juice .  I had never heard about this product and I almost deleted the email, thinking it was spam.  Then I thought – no spammer is this clever to send an email with such a fascinating title.

In the end I am really really glad I opened that email, because I got the opportunity to try Toe Juice, as did my husband who is back from the UK.  I have to say it is quite fascinating!

Toe juice is a liquid that you apply to dry, cracked skin with a cotton ball.  It smells a bit like a minty alcohol and gently smooths cracked, dried, irritated skin.  It has an amazingly cooling property to it and is known to be useful for the following skin problems (including others):  Acne, Atheletes’ Foot, Cold Sores, Eczema, Foot Problems, Ichthyosis, Insect Bites, Jock Itch, Jungle rot, Psoriasis, Rashes, Ringworm and warts.

The product was actually discovered in 1970 by Royce Garner in Boise, Idaho, when he was trying to find a solution to his infant son’s cracked, dry, flaking feet.  As a science teacher he had access to a a lab and created the amazing liquid that is now known as Toe Juice and is now available on the market at most pharmacies throughout the US and Canada.  Toe Juice is non-greasy, fast-drying and all natural and is sure to please!

My husband tried the Toe Juice when he first got back from the UK on his heels and on his hands.  His heels and feet had tough “boy callouses” that I thought it may help and he came with a small eczema breakout on his hands – Toe Juice did make his callouses a bit softer, if only he would remember to use it!

He was nervous to use the Toe Juice on his eczema, so he only put it on once or twice.  I did notice it made the eczema rashes less bumpy and red, but he is more old-school and prefers to use the traditional methods of treating his hands that he was taught as a teenager when it first came up.

He did ask me to mention that he didn’t like the alcohol-ey smell, but loved the cooling factor – he would have preferred it to be perfumed, but then I pointed out that if it were perfumed, it probably 1) would not be all natural and 2) would bother people with allergies.  He also suggested a small change in packaging that made sense to me.

He said most men (and I admit many women) would not want to go to the trouble of getting cotton balls to apply the liquid.  I know I’m lazy when it comes to cotton balls, therefore I agreed completely!  He suggested changing the packaging so that it would have a small roller ball, similar to liquid roll-on deodorants (except small enough to fit between toes) or maybe more similar to juicy liquid lip gloss roller balls.

Other than that, I believe that Toe Juice is an extraordinary product and is definitely worth a try if you have any types of skin problems!
